Hatha Yoga is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.
Vinyasa Yoga - Active Flow
This active flow practice is a physically challenging class which will help you develop tone and endurance. Open to students of all levels, the class will maintain a focus on proper alignment and technique, ensuring a safe practice, while keeping a steady pace and incorporating strength positions in a manner that will push you both muscularly and cardiovascularly. The class will make you sweat, but will also help you sustain a connection between movement and breath and develop the meditative aspect of the yoga practice as well.
This restorative class integrates the physical, mental, and energetic aspects of yoga to help students to cultivate the therapeutic benefits of the practice. The class utilizes both the yoga postures and ideas from the yoga philosophy to help students who deal with pain, or those who simply want to proactively develop physical and mental strength, stability, general wellbeing, and the capacity to deal with change. This deep meditative style of yoga helps cultivate the awareness and clarity of mind to transform and gain freedom from ingrained habits and patterns.
